CERN Discovers New Particle Called The FERIR

"Daisy, Daisy / Give me your answer, do. / I'm half crazy / all for the love of you"

CERN has just announced the discovery of a new particle, called the “FERIR”.

This is not a fundamental particle of matter like the Higgs Boson, but an invention of economists. CERN in this instance stands not for the famous particle accelerator straddling the French and Swiss borders, but for an economic research lab at MIT—whose initials are coincidentally the same as those of its far more famous cousin.

Extremely Strange Cloud Portal Anomaly Forms Above CERN - Caught on Radar May 7, 2016

This is a short video to point out that a cloud portal formed above CERN. Local meteorologists said that the clouds did not produce any rain and that it was likely a problem with the radars. I found this intriguing because of the timing. CERN has openly declared its ambition in 2016: the hunt for Supersymmetry and the Dark Universe. At the end of April, they began a power-up to 14 TeV, but a weasel disrupted the power, or so they claimed. CERN started back up between May 7th-9th 2016. It was right around this time that the cloud anomaly formed.

After scientists at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) powered up the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) — the world’s largest particle accelerator — earlier in the week, following a disruption allegedly caused by a weasel, conspiracy theorists have raised alarm that yet another weather anomaly, claimed to be a portal to another dimension, was detected by Swiss meteorologists over the facility near the Jura Mountains.

The LHC, a ring-shaped 27-kilometer (17-mile) subterranean tunnel of superconducting magnets located near the France-Switzerland border, was switched on March 25 after a winter break to allow engineers and technicians conduct maintenance and safety tests ahead of the start of a new round of experiments in May.

But, the LHC suffered an electrical outage on Friday, April 29, after a weasel entered the transformer and gnawed through a 66-Kilovolt cable causing an electrical outage.

This series explores an anomaly CERN scientists announced last December at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), where protons are smashed together very close to the speed of light. My first installment explained how two detectors observed results at odds with predictions of the Standard Model. In the jargon of the field, they found a “diphoton excess at 750 GeV.” (My first piece explains what that means.)

This might be a very big deal. The Standard Model, which has withstood all experimental challenges for forty years, is our best theory of the fundamental particles that make up the matter and forces we know about. If the anomaly holds up, we will have come face to face with the Standard Model’s limitations.

But that’s a big “if.” The results are too preliminary for us to say anything for sure right now. Fortunately, CERN restarted the LHC experiments this month and is expected to make another announcement this summer. The new data may show that the anomaly was just statistical noise, but whatever happens, there is much to be learned from these efforts to probe the edges of our understanding. We may learn something about Nature, or we may learn that the existing theory has survived yet another test. In either case, by following how science gets done you can see why it is so exciting—the process as well as the results.

In the lead up to this summer’s announcement, I will take you through our present understanding of particle physics: the Standard Model, the Higgs boson, and why we suspect there is something beyond the Standard Model for the LHC to find. To do that, I need to give you a way to picture how the Universe works at these incredibly small scales. This second installment lays the foundation by exploring the basic language of particle physics. That language is called quantum field theory, but it is not so much a specific theory as the framework for all our fundamental theories of Nature, both the well tested (quantum electrodynamics and quantum chromodynamics, which are parts of the Standard Model) and the more speculative (supersymmetry and quantum gravity).

The quantum world is strange. On small scales, particles can act like waves, objects can tunnel straight through solid walls, and the more you know about where something is, the less you know how fast it is going. Thanks to these bizarre phenomena, the word “quantum” is often synonymous with “magic” in films, books, and popular culture. (This attitude sadly abused by many charlatans who wish to wrap themselves in the trappings of science.) It is not magic, of course, but it is genuinely hard to understand. It was the great Danish physicist and Nobel Laureate Niels Bohr who said, “Anyone who is not shocked by quantum theory has not understood it.” There are indeed fundamental questions about the behavior of physics at the smallest scales that we do not have satisfying answers to—yet.

Quantum field theory is the basic language of the most accurate physical theory yet devised.

However, our understanding of the quantum world has grown enormously since Bohr’s time. Indeed, there are important differences between the quantum mechanics developed in the early twentieth century and the quantum field theory I will talk about here. We still use the former in many situations, not only in physics but also engineering: your computer relies on the “magic” of quantum mechanics for its existence. But the latter is a deeper, more fundamental theory, what you get when you require quantum mechanics to abide by the rules of Einstein’s theory of special relativity—the description of what happens when things are moving near the speed of light. Special relativity is the theory that gives us the most famous equation in history, E = mc², which tells us that mass can be converted to energy and vice versa. As a result, any theory that includes special relativity must be able to deal with the creation or destruction of particles. Quantum mechanics could not accommodate this possibility; quantum field theory can.

When you use the rules of quantum field theory to make calculations, it is truly incredible. It has enabled us to formulate the most precise scientific theory ever devised, capable of making predictions to one part in a trillion. I will try to explain some of those rules, to give a picture of how I think about things and their interactions at these incredibly small scales (and very high speeds). For example, how should you picture what’s going on when a physicist says “at the LHC, we collided two protons traveling close to the speed of light and created a Higgs boson; it lasted for roughly 10⁻²² seconds before decaying into some photons”?

I will evade the philosophical questions that lurk at the heart of the quantum world: questions about the reality of the wavefunction, hidden variables, or multiverses. In my day-to-day working life, I take the attitude that is sometimes summed up as “shut up and calculate.” The philosophical questions are interesting and important, but I do not need to answer them to carry out my research. From this vantage point, I will give you a sense of how I view the quantum world: how particles move and how they interact with each other. Of course this won’t give you a deep working knowledge of quantum field theory, but my goal is to convey some useful analogies for making sense of what goes on at the LHC.

Fields and Quantum Fields
The fundamental problem we face when we try to visualize quantum behavior is how to describe what things are. Consider electrons, photons, and quarks. Are they particles or waves? We think of particles as pointlike things that have a definite location—small billiard balls, say. Waves, by contrast, ripple out through space and exhibit behavior such as diffraction and interference.

QUITO, Ecuador magnitude-7.8 earthquake has risen to 654

QUITO, Ecuador –  Ecuador's government says the death toll from last week's devastating magnitude-7.8 earthquake has risen to 654 with another 58 people missing.

The website of the secretariat for risk management said Saturday that 113 people had been rescued alive following the quake that flattened coastal towns and more than 25,000 people remained in shelters.

The death toll from Ecuador's quake has surpassed that of Peru's 2007 temblor, making it the deadliest quake in South America since one in Colombia in 1999 killed more than 1,000 people.

The short circuit delaying the restart of the Large Hadron Collider has been fixed, after a blast of high current melted the metal particle responsible.

It is now likely that the LHC will see beams of protons racing around its 27km circumference early next week.
The massive machine's second run, after a two-year refit, had faced a delay of up to several weeks after the glitch was discovered ten days ago.
But now only much more routine tests remain to be completed.
Cern, the European organisation for nuclear research, announced on Tuesday that Run Two of the collider was "back on track".

The short circuit was caused by a tiny piece of metal debris, which found its way into the pipes and became lodged in the wiring of one of the LHC's powerful electromagnets. A short caused by dust or debris is a common enough fault, but one which could have taken weeks to fix if the team had needed to warm the magnet up from its operating temperature of nearly -273C (absolute zero).

'Like blowing a fuse'

 

The mercifully rapid repair was something of an experiment, according to the head of Cern's beams department, Dr Paul Collier.
After his team pinpointed the location of the fault - to within centimetres - using electrical signals, they "had a number of methods to explore", Dr Collier told BBC News.
One would have been to hose down the area with helium gas, which could be done remotely; another would have been to open the magnet up and send in an engineer. Maybe the safest mechanism would have been to warm up the machine and go in there and clean it out - but that would have been a very long process," Dr Collier said.
So instead they tried something new: passing nearly 400 amps of current directly through the short circuit, for just a few milliseconds - "in the same way you would blow a fuse".
Measurements made on Monday evening suggested the trick had worked, and this was confirmed when high voltages were put through the circuit on Tuesday.
"There's no short there now, even at high voltages," Dr Collier said, clearly pleased with the solution.
"We can't pretend this is the only fragment in the system; it could well recur in the future. But now we've got a mechanism to deal with it relatively quickly - much more quickly than we did this time."
A vast, subterranean "atom smasher", the LHC is famous around the world for pushing the boundaries of physics - including the discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012.
Its much-anticipated reboot will slam protons together with twice as much energy as ever before, which researchers hope will yield insights into huge, outstanding questions like the existence of dark matter and supersymmetry.
Actual collisions will still not recommence until at least May; the first big step is to send beams all the way around the machine's parallel pipes, in both directions - and this is now only days away.

In April 2008 the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) held an official open day for the launch of the world’s largest particle accelerator, otherwise known as Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

In September of the same year, CERN was forced to shut down the LHC due to an electrical malfunction which caused a huge helium leak.

However, it has now been alleged that the reported helium leak was actually a cover story for a containment breach, after an artificially created micro black hole was reported as missing.

An unnamed source has suggested that the particle collision test went ahead as planned, and that following the experiment a number of micro black holes were created. The black holes were in the process of being documented and evaluated, when it was noticed that one of the micro black holes was missing. The source advised that they had searched under the Aspelund, on top of the Leksvik and even down the back of the Smogen (the containment fields) but were unable to locate the missing black hole.

Once it was established that the micro black hole was definitely missing, CERN was forced to close down the LHC that an extensive search could be made of the facility.

However it proved to be a futile effort as it was like searching for a very tiny needle in an exceptionally large haystack.

As black holes are not a natural phenomenon on Earth, every physics paper written upon the subject has been based upon a black hole in its natural state and location, namely in space. All documents regarding the effect of creating an artificial black hole on Earth have been based on theory.

CERN have continually stated that the creation of micro black holes on Earth would be perfectly safe as the micro black holes are so tiny that they will evaporate – but is this definitely the case?

There is so much about the creation of the Universe that we still do not fully understand, and some scientists are now even questioning and challenging the previous theories on how the Universe was created. Therefore, if what we thought we knew about the Universe may now be incorrect – how can we be so sure about black holes on Earth being safe?

Professor Otto E. Rossler is one of the scientists who is not entirely comfortable with CERN‘s declaration of micro black holes evaporating, and that they are harmless. Professor Otto has raised several concerns, and has tried on numerous occasions to have the LHC closed down.

Referring to the attached report, Professor Rossler has highlighted what his concerns are and has even asked CERN to disprove his theory to try and alleviate his fears for the safety of Earth. So far CERN has not responded.

Whether CERN have not responded simply because they choose not to or perhaps consider that it’s a waste of their time, or whether it is because they are not able to disprove Professor Rossler’s theory is anyone’s guess.

So back to the missing micro black hole. Where did it go? Has it simply evaporated? Or is the micro black hole airborne? Could it be outside the facility?

I guess only time will tell – but if Switzerland and France suddenly start to get sucked into what looks like a very dark sink hole, Professor Rossler will definitely be entitled to say “I told you so!”Original article Link

The Bible Codes, Sir Isaac Newton set 2060 for end of world Britain's greatest scientist, predicted the date of the end of the world - and it is only 57 years away.

His theories about Armageddon have been unearthed by academics from little-known handwritten manuscripts in a library in Jerusalem.

The thousands of pages show Newton's attempts to decode the Bible, which he believed contained God's secret laws for the universe.Newton, who was also a theologian and alchemist, predicted that the Second Coming of Christ would follow plagues and war and would precede a 1,000-year reign by the saints on earth - of which he would be one.

The most definitive date he set for the apocalypse, which he scribbled on a scrap of paper, was 2060.

Newton's fascination with the end of the world, which has been researched by a Canadian academic, Stephen Snobelen, is to be explored in a documentary, Newton: The Dark Heretic.
"What has been coming out over the past 10 years is what an apocalyptic thinker Newton was," Malcolm Neaum, the producer, said.

"He spent something like 50 years and wrote 4,500 pages trying to predict when the end of the world was coming. But until now it was not known that he ever wrote down a final figure. He was very reluctant to do so."

Thousands of Newton's papers, which had lain in a trunk in the house of the Earl of Portsmouth for 250 years, were sold by Sotheby's in the late 1930s.

John Maynard Keynes, the economist, bought many of the texts on alchemy and theology. But much of the material went to an eccentric collector, Abraham Yahuda, and was stored in the Hebrew National Library. It was among these documents that the date was found .
From medieval times, the belief that the Bible contains some type of secret code has fascinated many people, including the great scientist Sir Isaac Newton. In 1958, Rabbi Weissmandel found some interesting patterns in the Hebrew Pentateuch (also known as the Books of Moses, the Torah, and the first five books of the Hebrew Scriptures/Old Testament). Unfortunately, he had no access to computers, and so was not able to develop his findings.

A team at Hebrew University in Jerusalem reported remarkable findings of codes buried in the book of Genesis in 1988. Other researchers followed, claiming to find predictions in the ancient text of "the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin in 1995 to a Los Angeles earthquake in 2010.

ELS codes are found with approximately equal frequency in the Book of Genesis, the Qur'an, Tolstoy's "War and Peace," or in any sufficiently long text written in any language -- probably even in this web site which totals over loads of megabytes of text.

A remarkable scientific fact recorded in the Scriptures is found in the book of Genesis. The Bible declares that God separated the waters below (in the earth) from the waters above (in the Heavens).

And God said, Let there be firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. (Genesis 1:6-7)


The 3500 year old Bibical statement declared that God created a large amount of water that He placed in the Heavens, or in deep space. Is there any scientific evidence that supports this intriguing ancient Biblical statement? The existence of water in space seemed improbable, if not impossible, to scientists until quite recently. However, new astronomical discoveries have revealed that massive amounts of water exist in outer space, exactly as the Bible originally claimed. Naturally, because of the extremely cold temperatures found in space, these waters are frozen into ice. Frozen water has been discovered within the ice caps on Mars, as well as in the beautiful rings of ice and dust circling the planet Saturn. In addition, astronomers discovered that the comets traveling through our solar system are composed of massive amounts of ice and rock.
A meteor composed of a huge block of ice and rock from space collided with the earth at the beginning of the last century in a remote part of Siberia in northern Russia:


In the morning of June 30, 1908, a fantastic explosion occured in central Siberia... Witnesses described an enormous meteoric bolide visible in the sky for a few seconds. Other witnesses from a distance of 60 kilometers (36 miles) from the point of impact were knocked over... Seismic shocks were registered over the whole world... this event was due to the collision with the earth of a block of ice weighing 30,000 tons which... released energy equivalent to that of a thermonuclear bomb of 12 megatons.


The latest scientific research revealed that tremendous amounts of ice also exist at the outer edge of our solar system. Astronomers now believe that there is a vast region of space at the edge of our solar system that holds perhaps a trillion large comets composed of ice and rock. Each large comet is believed to contain up to one trillion tons of ice. The vast amount of water in the earth’s oceans is a small fraction of the quantities of water that exist in the "firmament above," as reported in the Genesis passage.
Another passage in Job also refers to the ice and frost found in the Heavens:


Hath the rain a father? Or who hath begotten the drops of dew? Out of whose womb came the ice? And the hoary frost of Heaven, who hath gendered it? The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen. Canst thou bind the influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? (Job 38:28-31).


How could someone like Job, living, during ancient times, in the hot climate of what is now Saudi Arabia, have known about frozen ice caps in the far north and south of our planet?

Pluto's Moon Has Ice Volcanoes

Charon, Pluto's sole moon has been discovered to have volcanoes that spew water ice into space. Water apparently is liquid inside the moon, probably due to an ammonia mixture that acts like an antifreeze. The water instantly turns to ice when they hit the cold of space. The volcanoes were detected with the Gemini observatory on Mauna Kea in Hawaii.

The entire description given in these verses fit certain types of dinosaurs very well. But we're going to zero in on one particular verse. It's in verse 17 it says, "He moveth his tail like a cedar:".

The Book of Revelation was written sometime around 96 CE in Asia Minor. The author was probably a Christian from Ephesus known as "John the Elder." According to the Book, this John was on the island of Patmos, not far from the coast of Asia Minor, "because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus" (Rev. 1.10). This has traditionally been taken to mean that he had been exiled there as a martyr for his Christian faith. Some scholars, however, have suggested that it might have been a regular stop on a preaching circuit. Next, the author says, "I was in the spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet" (Rev. 1.11), and this voice tells him to write what he is about to see. This begins the "revelatory" vision that is at the center of the book.

Ephesus was both the capital of the Roman province of Asia and one of the earliest centers of Christianity. The book next contains seven short letters of exhortation to t


he Christian churches in the seven leading cities of Asia Minor -- Ephesus (2.1-7, Smyrna (2.9-11), Pergamon (2.12-17) , Thyatira (2.18-29). Sardis (3.1-6), Philadelphia (3.7-13). and Laodicea (3.14-22). This region would become a key area for the expansion of Christianity into the Roman empire. But it was precisely this intersection that created the problem for the author, as it called for Christians to treat the Roman administration as agent of the devil. But recognizing this comes from understanding how to read this kind of apocalyptic literature.

Note*6 – represents the worship of man, and is the number of man, signifying his rebellion, imperfection, works, and disobedience. It is used 273 times in the Bible, including its derivatives (e.g, sixth) and another 91 times as “threescore” or “60.” Man was created on the sixth day (Genesis 1:26, 31). See also Exodus 31:15 and Daniel 3:1.

The number is especially significant in the book Revelation, as “666” identifies the beast. (Revelation 13:18).
